In einer früheren Abhandlung [JFM 29.0119.02] hatte Verf. gezeigt, dass die zweite Componirte der allgemeinen \(2m\)-fachen linearen homogenen Gruppe eine lineare Gruppe in \(C_{2m,2}\equiv m(2m-1)\) Variabeln ist, welche die Pfaffsche Function \(F\equiv[1,2,\dots,2m]\) invariant lässt. Bezeichnet man die Variabeln mit \(Y_{ij}=-Y_{ji}\) \((i,j=1,\dots,2m;i\neq j)\), so zeigte es sich, dass die zweite Componirte genau \((2m)^2\) linear unabhängige infinitesimale Transformationen \(\sum Y_{rt}\frac{\partial f}{\partial Y_{rs}}\delta t\) enthielt (\(r,s,t=1,\dots,2m;\,r\neq s,t\)). Der Zweck der gegenwärtigen Note ist der, zu beweisen, dass die grösste in den \(m(2m-1)\) Variabeln \(Y_{ij}\) lineare homogene Gruppe \(G\), welche den Pfaffschen Ausdruck \(F\) invariant lässt, nur jene \((2m)^2\) linear unabhängigen Transformationen enthält.
