Normality and abnormality in the calculus of variations. (English) JFM 64.0510.01

Math., Princeton, (2) 33 (1932), 747-752; F. d. M. 58\(_{\text{I}}\), 535) und Hestenes (Trans. Amer. math. Soc. 35 (1933), 479-490; 36 (1934), 793-818; Amer. J. Math. 58 (1936), 391-406, F. d. M. 59\(_{\text{I}}\), 499; 60\(_{\text{I}}\), 458; 62\(_{\text{I}}\), 580).
