[For the entire collection see Zbl 0722.00032.]This paper describes the methods to obtain Monte Carlo estimates of integrals relating three-dimensional energy transfer in grid-generated turbulence. Monte Carlo estimates of integrals and their deviation and measure of deviation are explained in general form. To get some feeling for the potential of Monte Carlo methods, the authors employed a much simpler problem involving second order spectra with the known analytical results and compared with the corresponding Monte Carlo integral estimate.
