Every paper submitted to SIAPS is subjected to stringent peer
review by, on average, three reviewers.
Only a fraction of submitted manuscripts are
published, generally after revision required by the reviewers.
Preservation
The journal is produced in LaTeX and
open source software, to provide the best reading experience as well as
future preservation.
Expanded Content
Authors now have the chance to include
expanded content into their papers, with the inclusion of data-sets for experiments and
graphs, additional electronic materials, program
repositories, and even 3D models that can be used and manipulated inside PDF files,
transcending for the first time
the limitations imposed by paper in scientific publication.
Color
Authors are encouraged to make use of color
wherever it helps with visualization and understanding.
There is no page charge to the author, with or without color.
Cross-Linked References
The journal provides an
electronic file that will transcend the use of paper, with internal
cross-links for navigation and external links to bibliographical and citation
resources outside the article.
Fast Electronic Production
From submission to publication
all papers will be handled completely in electronic format. Referee's reports, page proofs,
articles, and complete issues will all be filed and available electronically, providing
for the fastest turn around possible in any publication environment.
Copyright
Authors keep the copyright
to their work and give MSP a license to publish the material.
