From approximation of dissipative systems to semipassive vibration damping and control: an illustration

Vol. 13 (2025), No. 4, 437–446
Abstract

In this paper we study the consequences of the results of approximation of dissipative systems within the framework of Lagrangian formalism. Namely, we present applications of them to control and damping of vibrations in complex systems. On this simple example, we promote the idea that dissipative and coupled systems can be treated on equal footing within the framework of one general formalism.
