Abstract

Let q1,… ⁡,qt be distinct prime numbers. Let a1,… ⁡,at be nonnegative integers. We establish effective lower bounds for |zd − q1a1⋯qtat| and for its greatest prime factor, which tend to infinity with zd, where z is a positive integer coprime with q1⋯qt and d ≥ 2 is an integer.
