Abstract

Let f(x) be an irreducible polynomial over the finite field F_p^s. In this paper we give explicitly the minimum degree of the irreducible factors in F_p^s[x] of the polynomial f(∑ _i=0^ma_ix^pri ) where p > m and a_i ∈ F_p^s. We also give some other related results.
