Non-cell-like decompositions of S3

Donald S. Coram and Paul Frazier Duvall, Jr.

Vol. 115 (1984), No. 1, 47–55
Abstract

Let 𝒢 be an upper semi continuous decomposition of the three-sphere S3. The purpose of this note is to describe two conditions under which we can identify the quotient space X = S3𝒢, without assuming either that 𝒢 is cell like or that X is finite dimensional.
