Fano bundles over P³ and Q₃

Abstract

A vector bundle ℰ is called Fano if its projectivization P(ℰ) is a Fano manifold. In this article we prove that Fano bundles exist only on Fano manifolds and discuss rank-2 Fano bundles over the projective space P³ and a 3-dimensional smooth quadric Q₃.
