The Bourgain algebra of H∞(𝔻) relative to L∞(𝔻) is shown to be H∞(𝔻) + C(𝔻) + V , where V is an ideal of functions in L∞(𝔻) which vanish in an appropriate sense near the boundary of 𝔻.
