Conformal capacities and extremal metrics

Abstract

For any non-compact Riemannian n-manifold M it is proved that the function λ_M : M × M →ℝ₊ satisfies the triangular inequality. This result includes a Vuorinen conjecture. It follows from an extension to generalized condensers of a property of extremal functions.
