Abstract

In this paper we study the consequences of the results of approximation of dissipative
systems within the framework of Lagrangian formalism. Namely, we present
applications of them to control and damping of vibrations in complex systems.
On this simple example, we promote the idea that dissipative and coupled
systems can be treated on equal footing within the framework of one general
formalism.
