The An­nals of K-The­ory (AKT) will be­come our sixth Sub­scribe to Open journ­al, start­ing in 2027.

The Sub­scribe to Open (S2O) mod­el aims to fund open-ac­cess pub­lish­ing through sub­scrip­tion pay­ments. MSP, the pub­lish­er, sets a fund­ing threshold and a dead­line each re­new­al sea­son. If AKT re­ceives enough sub­scrip­tion com­mit­ments to meet the threshold by the dead­line, its new con­tent will be pub­lished open ac­cess that year. Oth­er­wise, the year’s con­tent will be avail­able only to paid sub­scribers, and any new or­ders after the dead­line will be charged a high­er price.

MSP began pub­lish­ing AKT in 2016, the same year the K-The­ory Found­a­tion es­tab­lished it to re­place the Journ­al of K-The­ory and serve as the premi­er journ­al in K-the­ory and re­lated areas of math­em­at­ics. Since then, AKT has earned a sol­id repu­ta­tion. We have no doubt it will con­tin­ue to thrive as a Sub­scribe to Open journ­al.

With AKT start­ing in 2027, MSP’s Sub­scribe to Open pro­gram will con­sist of six journ­als:

• Al­geb­ra­ic & Geo­met­ric To­po­logy
• Al­gebra & Num­ber The­ory
• Ana­lys­is & PDE
• An­nals of K-The­ory
• Pa­cific Journ­al of Math­em­at­ics
